This material is typically the design choice for lightweight, extremely fragile items. It is also widely used as die cut inserts in product presentation cases and consumer display packaging where reusability and appearance are prime considerations.

Available in a wide range of densities, ILD's (compression measurement), colors, and either polyether, polyester or rebond; it can be die cut, laminated, profile cut, or convoluted for greater surface coverage of irregularly shaped products.
